Miguel Cotto: I feel good. I have worked really hard in my career to be in this position. I feel very happy again to be a world champion.

I have always said that I am available to fight the big names. I just want to fight the names who will represent an increase in my legacy and my career.
Specifically, could you possibly expound on a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao and the opportunity that would provide for redemption?
I am available to fight Manny again after his match against Antonio Margarito. We all have bad nights. But if the second fight is a reality, the result would be very different.
Can you expound on the potential for a rematch with Antonio Margarito and the opportunity that would provide for redemption as well?
Sure. I'm here to fight the best names out there. If Antonio Margarito is a good option for me after the Pacquiao fight, then I will fight him and beat him.
Can you discuss a potential fight with Julio Cesar Chavez and what that would mean to your career?
This is a fight that has been in the making. I was ready to make it. If it happens, it will be a great fight, and I will win it.
Are there any other opponents out there you would like to consider facing?
I have never chosen opponents. I have always said yes to the big challenges.
Finally, what is your timetable for wanting to get back into the ring?
I'm ready to fight. I leave everything in the hands of my promoter. But most surely early next year.
